St. Francis Annual Dance-a-Thon Fundraiser
Thursday, February 20th, 2020

The St. Francis annual Dance-a-Thon is coming soon! We are looking for prize donations from the school cards, toys, apparel, event tickets, experience tickets and more! Whether it's a donation from a family or a business, we need your support.

This year's Dance-a-Thon proceeds will be going towards new technology that will benefit all students here at St. Francis. Come and check out some of these great items at next weekend's Swim/Gym Event happening at the Diane Hamre Recreation Complex (Saturday, January 25th, 4-6 pm...FREE for SFA families). Our Learning Commons Specialist Mrs. Jinchereau will be there to demonstrate how these pieces work, and the benefit they bring to our kids' learning experience. Don't miss it!

If you are able to donate a prize towards our Dance-a-Thon, please contact me at or drop it off to Mr. McOuat at the office. You can also email me if you are interested in helping out at the event...we are always looking for volunteers!

Watch out for Dance-a-Thon information packages and pledge sheets coming home with students the day of our kick-off assembly Wednesday, February 5th.

Thank you for your support!

Christmas Luncheon 2019

posted 13 Dec 2019, 10:28 by David McOuat

Dear St. Francis Families,

Yesterday we came together to celebrate the wonderful season of Christmas, and what a fantastic day it was for us all! Grades 1-8 were at our Parish for Mass and a hot lunch, and our Kindergarten students enjoyed a Pizza Party back at the school with a special visit from Santa.

Thank you to Father Ace for leading our Advent Masses, and for hosting the main luncheon in the Parish Hall. We also thank the Knights of Columbus and the CWL of St. Francis Parish for their support.

Thank you to all those who donated food items, money or their gift of time. We had so many volunteers at both venues to make these events come to life...this day was not possible without the many hands that put a lot of hard work into this.

A HUGE thank you goes out to Foodland in Newcastle who supplied the food for our hot lunch...they donated some of the food and gave us special pricing on the rest. Ryan Ormiston and his team continue to be wonderful supporters of our school!

Thank you to Mr. Smith, Mrs. Wright and Mr. McOuat for coordinating the class schedules and busing.

And thank you to the SFA Catholic School Council for providing funds, planning behind the scenes and leading the day.

On behalf of the entire CSC, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
